Universal Orlando Resort Brings Virtual Reality to Halloween Horror Nights

VRcade logoVirtual reality has been a huge hit in the horror scene recently with numerous games and experiences released in the last year. VRstudios is taking it a step further with their VRcade system that’s heading for Halloween Horror Nights. Instead of the usual sit down or tethered standing VR setup, VRcade is a wireless system that allows visitors to walk around while being fully immersed in a story.

Guests will find themselves in the middle of a paranormal investigation where they will interact with real-life characters and a small group of others to solve a “dark mystery.” Halloween Horror Nights will be the first haunt of this scale to deploy virtual reality. Details are a bit sparse, but it does appear that the same high-caliber set designs Halloween Horror Nights is known for will be utilized here as well.

Experience at Halloween Horror Nights

Tickets will be available to the general public starting August 23rd and August 16th for Universal Orlando Annual Passholders. The experience runs during select nights September 29th through October 31st. Tickets can be purchased by calling Universal Orlando Resort tickets and sales at 407-224-7840 and cost 49.99 plus tax. A valid Halloween Horror Nights event ticket is also required.
